Find x if 3x – 21 ≤ x + 15 ≤ 6x.

Solution

3x – 21 ≤ x + 15 and  x + 15 ≤ 6x

3x – x ≤ 21+ 15 and  15 ≤ 6x - x

2x ≤ 36(divide by 2 both sides) and  15 ≤ 5x (divide by5 both sides)

x ≤ 18 and  3 ≤ x

x ≤ 18 and  x ≥ 3
