 Find x if4x – 12 ≤ x + 15 ≤ 4x

Solution

4x – 12 ≤ x + 15 and  x + 15 ≤ 4x

4x – x ≤ 12+ 15 and  15 ≤ 4x - x

3x ≤ 27(divide by 3 both sides) and  15 ≤ 3x (divide by3 both sides)

x ≤ 9 and  5 ≤ x

hence x ≤ 9 and  x ≥ 5
