GRADIENTS A2

Find the slope of a line which passes through (3, 13) and (6,-9)

Solution

x1 = 3,  y1 =13,  x2 = 6,  y2 = -9.

m = y2 –y1
      x2 – x1

m =   -9 –13
           6 –3

m =   -22
            3

m =    - 22
             3

Hence the slope is -22/3
