Find the axis of symmetry for F(x) = 2x² - 64x + 3

Solution

a=2, b=(-64)

Axis of symmetry = -b/2a

                               =  -(-64)

                                    2 x 2

                               =    64

                                     4

                                =   16

Hence the axis of symmetry is 16
