Find the axis of symmetry for F(x) = 7x² - 4x + 7

Solution

a=7, b=-4

Axis of symmetry = -b/2a

                             =  -(-4)

                                2 x 7

                            =    4

                                14

                            =     2

                                   7

Hence the axis of symmetry is ²/7
