If n(AuB)=480 , n(B)= 300 and n(AnB)=70, find n(A).

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

        480  =  n(A) + 300 – 70

        480  = n(A) +  230

       480 - 230   = n(A)

       n(A)= 250

hence n(A)= 250 answer
