Solution

=  2398.7 x 10^-20

             5 x 10^-50

=  2398.7  x   10^-20

       5            10^-50

=  479.74x 10^{-20 –(-50)}

=  479.74x 10^-20+50    

=  479.74x 10³⁰      then we change 479.74 into standard form as well

= 4.7974x 10² x 10³⁰   when we have exponents with same base, we add the Powers.

= 4.7974x 10²⁺³⁰

= 4.7974 x 10³²

Hence   479.74 x 10^-20    = 4.7974 x 10³² answer

                    5 x 10^-50
