CONGRUENCE 1


In the figure below, prove that ΔEFG and ΔGEH  are congruent. 


Solution

GIVEN: Quadrilateral EFGH,
                EF=GH,
              <FGE=<GEH

REQUIRED TO PROVE: ΔEFG ΔEGH.

PROOF:  EG=GE             (given)
                 <FGE=<GEH    (given)
                  EG= GE           (common)

Hence ΔEFG ΔEGH  (By SAS)
