Here is a diagram:

r = R cos θ [R = 6370Km, θ = 48⁰]

r = 6370 x cos 48⁰

= 6370 x 0.6691

6370= 6.37x10³ 0.6691= 6.691 x10^-1	3.8041 + 1.8255
4.262 x 10³	3.6296

r = 4262 km.
