If n(AnB)=45, n(B)= 96 and n(AuB)= 136, find n(A)

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

136 = n(A)  + 96 - 45

136 = n(A)  +  51

136 - 51 = n(A)  

85 = n(A)  

Hence n(A)  = 85 answer

If n(AnB)=43, n(B)= 95 and n(AuB)= 140, find n(A)
