Solution

<PMN = 90⁰. [Angle inscribed in a semi-circle=90⁰]

In ∆NMP;

<PMN + a + 2a = 180⁰ [total degrees in a ∆ ]

90⁰+a+2a = 180⁰

90⁰+3a = 180⁰

3a = 180⁰ - 90⁰

3a = 90⁰

a = 30⁰
