ARITHMETIC PROGRESSION - 4


The nth term of a sequence is 26n -  8n2. Find the 4th term.

Solution

=   26n -  8n2

=   (26x4) -  8(4)2   [ since n=4 ]

=   104 – (8 x 16) 

=   104 – 128

=   - 24
                                 
The 4th term is -24.
