If n(A)= 100 , n(B)= 130 and n(AnB)=80, find n(AuB).

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

            = 100 + 130 – 80

            = 230 – 80

            = 150

Hence n(AuB) = 150 answer
