Find volume of rubber in a hollow spherical ball with inner diameter20cm and outer diameter of 30cm. (π=3.14)

Solution

π=3.14, R=30cm, r=20cm, V=?

V = 4 πR3 - 4 πr3

V = 4 π(R3 -  r3)
      3           

V = 4  x 3.14 x (303 -  243)
      3 
         
V = 12.56  x (27000 -  13824)
        3    
      
V = 12.56  x 13176               since [27000 -  13824=13176]
        3           


V = 12.56  x 13176 4392              
        3 1    
V = 12.56  x 4392                

V= 55163.52cm3 .

Hence volume of Rubber is 55163.52cm3 .
