SETS B10

If n(B)= 50 , n(AuB)=70, n(AnB)=25, find n(A).

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

     70 = n(A)  + 50 - 25

     70 = n(A)  + 25

     70 - 25 = n(A)

      45 = n(A)

Hence n(A) = 45 answer

TRY THIS……………………

If n(B)= 55 , n(AuB)=85, n(AnB)=30, find n(A).
