SETS B13

If n(A)= 65 , n(B)= 98 and n(AnB)=20, find n(AuB).

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

             = 65 + 98 – 20

             = 163 – 20

             = 143

Hence n(AuB) = 143 answer

TRY THIS………….

If n(A)= 160 , n(B)= 172 and n(AnB)=120, find n(AuB).
