Find the axis of symmetry for F(x) = 7x² - 98x + 3

Solution

a=7, b=-98

Axis of symmetry = -b/2a

                               =  -(-98)

                                    2 x 7

                               =    98

                                     14

                               =    7

                                      

Hence the axis of symmetry is 7
