Find x if: 10x – 12 ≤ x + 15 ≤ 4x.

Solution

10x – 12 ≤ x + 15 and  x + 15 ≤ 4x

10x – x ≤ 12+ 15 and  15 ≤ 4x - x

9x ≤ 27(divide by 9 both sides) and  15 ≤ 3x (divide by3 both sides)

x ≤ 3 and  5 ≤ x 

Hence; x ≤ 3 and  x ≥ 5
