Find the axis of symmetry for F(x) = 5x² + 66x + 3

Solution

a=5, b=60.

Axis of symmetry = -b/2a

                               =  -(66)

                                    2 x 5

                               =    -66

                                     10

                               =    -6.6

                                     

Hence the axis of symmetry is -6.6
