If A and B are complementary angles such that A = 29° and B = x + 25° , find the value of x .

Solution

A + B = 90⁰. [Since complementary angles add up to 90⁰]

29⁰ + x + 25⁰ = 90⁰.

x + 54⁰ = 90⁰.

x = 90⁰ - 54⁰

x = 36⁰  answer.
