Solution

= 2x² - 11x + 5. We split the middle term (-11x) to be (-x - 10x).

= 2x² - x - 10x + 5

= (2x² – x) – (10x + 5)

= x(2x – 1) – 5(2x - 1)

= (x - 5) (2x - 1)

Hence 2x² - 15x + 7= (x - 7) (2x - 1)answer.
