If n(A)= 80 , n(B)= 70 and n(AnB)=10, find n(AuB).

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

             =  80 + 70 – 10

             = 150 – 10

             = 140

Hence n(AuB)=140 answer
