If n(A)= 33 , n(B)= 69 and n(AuB)=82, find n(AnB).

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

            82 =  33 + 69 – n(AnB)

            82 = 102 - n(AnB)

             n(AnB) = 102 – 82

  

            n(B) = 20

Hence n(AnB)=20 answer
