the common difference is 97. Find the nth term.
Solution
A1= 70, d = 97
An = A1 +
(n-1)d
An = 70 + (n-1)97
An = 70 + 97n – 97
An = 97n + 70 – 97
An = 97n – 27 [since 70 - 97= -27]
Hence
the nth term is 97n - 27.
