SETS 1

If n(A)= 140 , n(B)= 160 and n(AnB)=150, find n(AuB).

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

             = 140 + 160 – 150

             = 300 – 150

             = 150

Hence n(AuB) = 150 answer

TRY THIS…………………………….

If n(A)= 140 , n(B)= 160 and n(AnB)=130, find n(AuB).
