SETS 1

If n(A)= 100 , n(B)= 140 and n(AnB)=150, find n(AuB).

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

             = 100 + 140 – 150

             = 240 – 150

             = 90

Hence n(AuB) = 90 answer

TRY THIS…………………………….

If n(A)= 104 , n(B)= 130 and n(AnB)=120, find n(AuB).
