Find the midpoint of a line from (3, 4) to (5, 6).

solution

x1=3, x2=5, y1=4,y2=6.

Mid point = (x1 + x2, y1 + y2)

                         2            2

Mid point = (3 + 5,  4 + 6)

                        2         2

Mid point = (8, 10)

                     2   2

Hence midpoint = (4, 5)
