Factorize completely qc + qr - cr - c².

Solution

= qc + qr - cr - c².

= (qc + qr) – (cr - c²). [Grouping the factors]

= q(c + r) - c(r + c). [after factoring out]

= (c + r)(q - c).

Hence qc + qr - cr - c². = (c + r)(q - c).
