SLOPE OR GRADIENT 1E

Find the slope of a line which passes through (-15, -2) and (6,-9)

Solution

x= -15,  y=-2,  x= 6,  y= -9

m = y2 –y1

       x2 – x1

m =   -9 –(-2)

           6 –(-15)

m =   -9 + 2

           6 + 15

m =    - 7

           21

Hence the slope is -7/21
