If 16x² + 24x + t is a perfect square, find t.

Solution

a = 16, b = 24, c = t.

b² = 4ac

(-24)² = 4 x 16 x t

576 = 64t

64 64

t = 9

Hence t = 9

TRY THIS………………..

If 9x² + 24x + f is a perfect square, find f.
