If x-22⁰ and 4x + 67⁰ are complementary angles, find the value of x.

Solution

Complementary angles add up to 90⁰.

so, x-22⁰ + 4x + 67⁰ = 90⁰.

so, x + 4x + 67⁰ - 22⁰ = 90⁰.

so, 5x + 45⁰ = 90⁰.

so, 5x = 90⁰ - 45⁰

so, 5x = 45⁰

so, 5x = 45⁹

Hence x = 9⁰
