Solution

50^2w (40^w) = 1000000¹²

(50²)^w (40^w) = (10⁶)¹²

(2500)^w (40^w) = 10^6x12

(2500 x 40)^w = 10⁷²

(100000)^w = 10⁷²

(10⁵)^w = 10⁷²

10^5w = 10⁷² (Bases are alike, so they cancel out)

5w = 72

5w = 72^14.4

5 5

w = 14.4 answer
