Find the axis of symmetry for F(x) = 4x² + 32x + 7

Solution

a=4, b=32

Axis of symmetry = -b/2a

                                 =  -(32)

                                      2 x 4

                                 =   -32

                                        8

                                 =   -4

                                        

Hence the axis of symmetry is -4 .
