If n(A)= 120 , n(B)= 130 and n(AnB)=80, find n(AuB).

Solution

n(AuB) = n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)
             = 120 + 130 – 80
             = 250 – 80
             = 170

Hence n(AuB) = 170 answer

If n(A)= 134 , n(B)= 126 and n(AnB)=100, find n(AuB).
