Find the axis of symmetry for F(x) = 16x² - 64x + 3

Solution

a=16, b=-64

Axis of symmetry = -b/2a

                               =  -(-64)

                                    2 x 16

                               =    64

                                      32

                               =    2

                                     

Hence the axis of symmetry is 2
