FACTORIZATION C8

Factorize 7x² + 10x + 3.

Solution

= 7x² + 10x + 3. We split the middle term (10x) to be (7x + 3x).

= 7x² + 7x + 3x + 3

= (7x² + 7x) + (3x + 3) we group by using brackets.

= 7x(x + 1) + 3(x + 1).

= (7x + 3) (x + 1)

Hence 7x² + 9x + 2 = (8x + 3) (x + 1) answer.
