If 11x + 5 ≥ 15 + 6x ≥ 15x – 12; find x.

Solution

11x + 5 ≥ 15 + 6x and  15 + 6x ≥ 15x – 12

11x – 6x ≤ 15 - 5  and  15 +12 ≤ 15x - 6x

5x ≤ 10 and  27 ≤ 9x 

5x ≤ 10  and  27 ≤ 9x
5        5            9      9

x ≤ 2 and  3 ≤ x

x ≤ 2  and  x  ≥ 3
